Hemp Support Needed
Our motto: Sustainability starts locally… and with you! Our company fully supports an increasingly sustainable, renewable local, de-centralized economy and feels that through the numerous applications of the industrial hemp plant we may achieve this goal of economic revitalization. Please support local hemp legislation and a return to America’s roots – industrial hemp farming practices. It’s good for the environment (sequesters carbon, provides nutrients back to our depleted soils) and good for the economy by creating farming and ancillary production jobs. Cannabidiol, or CBD is a constituent of the hemp plant that has shown significant health and wellness benefits – CBD promotes and supports the dietary and nutritional health of aging bodies (US Government patent # 6,630,507).
Have You Had Your CBD today?
“CBD-enriched health foods, tinctures and oils are the next revolution in food and medicine” – so says Reality Sandwich author Allan Badiner http://www.realitysandwich.com/high_health_cbd_food_supply.
CBD = Cannabidiol
There currently is an explosion of entrepreneurial activity and creativity around making up for lost time with CBD. LA-based cannabis physician Allan Frankel explains: “up until this past year it was nearly impossible to help patients using CBD. Cannabis growers were focused on the ‘stoniest’ weed’, hence CBD, which is non-psychoactive and mitigates the effect of THC, was nearly lost in this community”. Our experts are still in the early stages of understanding the synergistic effects of all the extracts from the hemp plant that are known today. More and more extracts are being found each year with now over 400 cannabiniods being listed http://dixiebotanicals.com/about/hemp-history/ .
The overall, combined effect of certain cannabinoids, terpenoids, flavenoids and perhaps another 200 molecules – all working together and carefully balanced (as in nature) produces what Dr Ethan Russo calls an “Entourage Effect”. Seed, the Most Nutritionally Complete Food Source
Seeds of the plant cannabis sativa – also known as hemp seed, contain all the essential amino acids and essential fatty acids necessary to maintain healthy human life. No other single plant source has the ennential acids in such an easily digestible form, nor has the essential fatty acids in as perfect a ratio to meet the nutritional needs of human beings. Thus hemp seed and hemp seed oil may be considered to be the most nutritionally complete food source in the world.
Continual over-consumption of saturated fats and refined vegetable oils can turn essential fatty acids into harmful compounds and ignorance of complete human nutritional needs may lead to degenerative conditions.
There are eight amino acids that must fully come from the human diet and two more that the body cannot make in sufficient quantity. A diet without these amino acids will be nutritionally incomplete. Proteins are made from amino acid peptide chains in specific sequences and the number of possible amino acid peptide combinations is nearly infinite.
Flax seed and other seeds in the plant kingdom contain essential amino acids, but the hemp seed also contains the protein globulin edistin in roughly 65%, which is the highest in the plant kingdom. Globulin is the third most abundant protein in the human body and serves to perform many enzymatic reactions within the blood plasma. Globulins help support the immune system.
